Patent bureau Volinik L.G. was founded on the 23rd of October 1989 in Tallinn as one of the first private patent bureaus in Estonia. Two years later, in August 1991, a branch office in Moscow, Russia was open.

Volinik L.G. has developed the concept of a contact-fair "Exhibition-Seminar of New Russian Technologies in the Estonian Republic" as a part of the North European Center for Marketing and Management of Objects of Intellectual Property activities. The First Exhibition-Seminar of New Russian Technologies in the Estonian Republic was held in June 2003, in Tallinn, Estonia.
