Contact point for cooperation between EU Member States

Based on the Citizen of the European Union Act and subsection 16 (8) of the Equal Treatment Act, the Commissioner for Gender Equality and Equal Treatment acts as a contact point for cooperation between EU Member States in order to support the exercise of the right of free movement of employees and their family members who are citizens of an EU Member State and of an EEA Member State. We are guided by the principle that employees or officials, who are the citizens of an EU Member State and of an EEA Member State, must be treated in the same way as the Estonian citizens, regardless of their citizenship, within the meaning of Regulation (EU) No 492/2011 on freedom of movement for workers within the Union.
